2nd Annual Pink Team Golf Tournament
Melissa, Ryan, and I am excited for what we hope to be another amazing Pink Team Golf Tournament! We, with the help of our former Pro Shop girl/Methodist University Senior- Anna Ziegler, would like our Members, Public Patrons, and Our Community to band together to once again help cancer
patients within our community. We know this will be a great challenge as we come to the end of a wonderful 2024 golf season. Last year, with the help of all of you, we were able to present "The Karen Chandler Trust" with a check for $7,500.
This year we have chosen Cape Fear Valley Health's "Friends of the Cancer Center" to be our recipient. This year (Our goal) we hope to raise $10,000 for local cancer patients!
For those who may not know....I (Shelley) was diagnosed with Mucinous Carcinoma of the right breast and underarm lymph nodes in April of 2016. I may have had my surgeries at Duke, but I did my chemotherapy and radiation therapy right here at The Cape Fear Cancer Center. They do so much to help ALL cancer patients on their road to recovery and now it is our time to give back to them!!
The tournament and fundraising are open to our members, patrons, our community golfers, and non-golfers. It will be held Sunday, October 27th with a 9am
shotgun.
We have several different ways for you to help! You can play in the tournament, sponsor a hole, be the beverage cart sponsor, sponsor a team, driving range sponsor, bring in an item to donate for our raffle, or bring in a donation by cash or check. We will be grateful and thankful for ANYTHING!!
Team Registration/Sponsorship packets are available in our Pro Shop for pick up.
